The show suffers from the same problem as Walking Dead, repeating and recycling the same plot lines until they become completely ineffective. Now that the main characters have acclimated to their environment, they walk around freely and even regularly interact with the 'ghouls' . The scary monsters no longer add any tension, instead they feel like a sideshow, abandoned from when the circus left town.
