The survivors of a plane crash are forced to work together to survive on a seemingly deserted tropical island.. J.J. The character of Sawyer was originally supposed to be a smart, suit-wearing, senior citizen con artist from Buffalo, New York. However, when Josh Holloway forgot a line in his audition and subsequently kicked a chair in frustration and cursed loudly, the writers liked the twist he brought to the character of Sawyer and decided to write Sawyer as a darker, southern drifter.. Jin and Sun are married and share the last name "Kwon," which becomes a major plot point in the final season.

At first, it's confusing.

But as the show progresses, friendships develop and we discover that the island is much more than it seems... The characters are great, don't listen to anyone who says the cast is so diverse it's cliché, they're probably the same people who would have criticized it if it was all white. You'll be addicted, unless you're one of those nitpicky people who gets a hernia if every single detail in the first episode isn't exactly right. Otherwise, I have to ask...
