For someone who wasn’t familiar with the story, I was really interested in the details of what happened

Narrative

During the 1972 Munich Olympics, an American sportscasting team was tasked with covering the hostage situation involving Israeli athletes. All the performances are believable, the comedy is spot on, and the pacing and timing are such that you don’t have to look out the door before the credits roll.

They managed to not foreshadow the main plot points

Some might find the lack of scene changes tiresome, but I think it worked here. I think they wanted you to feel like the control room was their world, and to feel as they did on that fateful day.

They make you think without preaching

You’ve done a good job of addressing the political and emotional elements. Adding footage of the event itself, including the broadcast footage, really draws you into the experience.

While this isn't a film I'd want to watch over and over again, it is a very well-made piece of work that I will recommend to friends who enjoy this type of film
