Narrative

Follow Rupert Campbell-Black and Tony Baddingham as their long-running rivalry comes to a head. Coincidentally, Aidan Turner previously filmed at Chavenage House (The Priory in Rivals). The same filming location was also used to portray Trenwith House in the BBC TV adaptation of Poldark in 2015. I haven't read the books, so I can't comment on how accurate it is.

And great escapism

However, I can say that I really enjoyed this show and I really hope they get a second season. It's a bit cheesy. But it's great TV. I managed to watch the whole thing in 2 days.

I wish there were more episodes

It's good that they don't make it too long though. David Tennant is fantastic, as usual. But I was more surprised by how good Danny Dyer was. I've seen him in a few things.

But he was brilliant

(Who hasn't?) And I was a bit skeptical about seeing him in the movie. There are so many characters I absolutely love and some I loved to hate. Too many to mention. Highly recommended.
